Yin Yoga and mediation

As the earth rotates around the sun the seasons change and flow in cycles,
We know the effect the cycles have on the planet, how nature withdraws and goes inward in winter and then awakens and blooms in spring.
These are our seasons, the coming and going, the rising and falling in endless cycles of time.
These cycles happen within each of us
The practice of Yin yoga is to tune into the energy of the seasons and work with the cycles that effect body and mind and spirit.
Yin Yoga follows a path linked with traditional Chinese medicine and has a more Taoist approach within its philosophy.
Balance and gentleness are key during the practice of yin yoga, as the postures are subtle and act on the deep connections and tissues of the body, restoring energy and function whilst calming mind and breath.
